A studio born from craft, art, and intention
Granatta Studio is a Milwaukee-based design studio rooted in handcrafted aesthetics and sustainable practices.
Founded by a Chilean designer and watercolor artist, the studio was created to support local brands in telling their stories through thoughtful packaging, custom illustration, and brand design identities with depth and craftsmanship.
Granatta was born from a painting
In 2024, while deeply immersed in botanical watercolor, founder and designer Javiera participated in a collective exhibition at the Charles Allis Art Museum in Milwaukee, presenting a single work: a pomegranate.
That piece marked a quiet but meaningful milestone in her artistic path, a moment where illustration, identity, and personal history converged.
Inspired by the pomegranate and its shared roots - Punica granatum, granata, granada - Granatta emerged as something personal, grounded, and intentional.
